Keynote Speech on Women’s Empowerment in New York
Koyamada was invited by Junior Chamber International (JCI) to give keynote speech titled "Celebrity Diplomacy for Women's Empowerment" to global audience for the JCI Global Partnership Summit at the InterContinental New York Barclay in New York City. Koyamada's KIF (Koyamada International Foundation), a 501c3 nonprofit organization with its focus to inspire youth and women to pursue their dreams, recently joined JCI as a global partner to support on promotion and program.
Next day, Koyamada joined his wife Nia Lyte who made a closing keynote speech about the importance of women's empowerment and leadership and gender equality at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. After her speech, Koyamada got up on the stage with Nia before the global participants for Q&A, moderated by MSNBC news anchor Richard Lui who asked both Koyamada and Nia to describe in three or four words about the Summit in gender equality. Koyamada said, "Time To Unite" and Nia said, "Lead With Your Heart".
JCI is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities with over 200,000 members in 124 countries. JCI has consultative status with the Council of Europe, with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO.
